Not a selected spot and not on the 100 Miler or any other trail in Forest Co.

That's hilarious! Said it before & I'll say it again...... I've been amazed at the magic you guys have performed with the minimal amounts of snow you've had to work with this year. Have put 600+ miles on the past 3 weekends & very few of them have been rough considering conditions. to the groomers!

I agree 1000% but in years past when someone posted more than a couple trail condition pics it showed some of the best and at least one of the not so best...and most years had way more snow than this one.
I'll leave it up to them who lurk here to figure this out but If everyone in the northern 1/3 of the state is given an equal amount a snow, I know where I will ride.

Early bird gets the worm

Post by 76masseyman »

This thread makes me laugh. Trails are always better in the morning. Very good point that taking pictures of beat up trail on a Saturday afternoon would probably not get people to want to ride in your area. :tucker:

Rode 150 miles around Crooked Lake last weekend. Even with being an early bird the trails were still somewhat rough. Not sure what the deal is but it seems like trails around that area are nothing but extremely tight curved woods trails. So even 10 sleds taking it easy going down the trail seem to wipe off every corner, and the trail is rough even after the groomer goes through twice. I know I thought to myself more than once last weekend "man I wish I was riding the 100 miler"... I still believe the 100 is one of the best trail systems in the state!

Hats off to the groomers and the people posting pictures on this site. They all make me drool sitting at my desk during the week just waiting for the clock to hit 3pm on Friday. I'll be up this weekend!

chit, ...seems like everyone is thinking that I was saying the trails were rough.....ain't enough damn snow to make a trail rough. Just sayin there is a lot more snirt out there than the pics show. This has NOTHING to do with grooming....everything to do with little snow...if your feelings are hurt you might have miss understood. Why can't you ppl make it snow up there?

I have been on the 100 miler multiple times starting in wabeno at 7am Saturday and Sunday mornings. I can get a quick 100 miles on fresh groomed trails. 150 by noon if I stop to eat. the ride back normally is the complete opposite. As mentioned above early bird gets the ribbon!CRZ's pictures normally tell a good story of the trails if you can hit them before 10am!

I know I was wishing I was on the 100 miler when I went with a different group and headed into Langlade instead. Now those trails suck!
