Short Term Forecast

Trails with low snow get chewed up fast. There for businesses will see maybe a week of traffic. After that riders will go else where to ride. so now we sit with poo.

Save the trails tell there is more snow and get more then a week of business in.A good base is need to keep the trails lasting.. If you get a good base you can normally keep the trail going longer when the temps get warmer.

Also Connors own alot of land and some of the trails go through it. Connors love there land!

I for one like the Forest County trails because of the ppl who take care of them and the way the always look. I wont ride them in crap like this, being a local I want good trails here why ride poo. All go else where and ride!

For instance last yr.. I road over in Vilas and some other counties from Forest. Its amazing how late in the season Forest trails where better, why maybe because they had a great base and the heat was taking a while to melt through.

I think I rambled on enough.

I took a ride across lake metonga through the woods and took keith siding road and made the loop down highway W back into crandon and i no it isnt 100 snowsafari trails but even if they were poor and in some spots i wont lie the trails were actually in good condition but there was grass, dirt rocks and all sorts of stuff showing and there isnt enough snow to fill the ruts in the ground. So i say this i think everyone has an opinion on the trails if someone wants to go out more power to em but if someone doesnt they dont have to either. This is a weird winter we need to take what we got so far and be happy.

Well, I wont be riding for a while...at least two weeks before i make it up to ride since i go back to school on sunday..

I saw two sleds go through town today. It would be nice to hear their comments on trail conditions. But that's why I post the pics, and let you see for yourself. I've got my '07 Attack parked out back, but I won't get out until we get more snow. I was hoping we'd get something yesterday, but that forecast soon changed. It seems as though the only way we're going to get it, is if we don't see it coming.

You are so close to some decent riding to the NW of A.Creek along the border on over to Watersmeet,so take some time from your busy 100 miler schedule and trailer on up for a day ride.you deserve a break!:D

I just talked with a couple fellows earlier this morning, and they told me that a couple of guys trailered their sleds to Gudowicz's to go riding, only to return after putting on only 8 miles!

at this time the latest little snow event is 1/2 way up the state.
Hopefully it stays together long enough to give the northern areas 2 to 4 inches...:thumbup:
On the other hand...it looks as if it is losing steam in the se part of the state:thumbdown:
