Short Term Forecast
It's been snowing here since about 10am. Maybe an inch so far. It is really light snow right now. A group of 10 of us took a vintage sled ride to the Florence County Snowmobile Club cookout in Spread Eagle on Saturday. It was 21 miles one way. 9 sleds made it both ways. We hit every imaginable condition. The wide, flat, unplowed forest roads were good through the woods, but the open areas were lacking snow. All of the woods trails were rough, rocky, rutted and/or lack of snow. Not a big deal since we were riding old junk. I for one would not have rode my good sleds in those conditions. Just my 2 cents worth.

We've got about 1.5" - 2" of accumulation here. But not nearly enough to do anything with. 
I talked with some sled heads yesterday that rode up from Carter to Armstrong Creek. They told me it was pretty rough, and that they weren't taking the trail back home, but were going to opt for forest roads instead.
