Yikes! 55 all the time in Minnesota? I did not know that. We certainly don't want that in Wisconsin!!!
The stop signs I find frustrating are those that are in front of driveways or roads that are clearly not being used during winter. I understand why the stop signs were orignally put in (when the trails are being marked in the off season you don't know who is going to use their place in winter).
I do have to admit I sometimes don't always come to a full and complete stop when I can plainly see the road or driveway is not being used during winter. But I do still come to almost a full stop. I would hate for an officer to be monitoring one of those stop signs.
Ok, before I get bashed too much, I realize there are stop signs for other reasons as well, such as dangerous intersections and such. I am only referring to those stop signs on a clearly marked visible straight wide open trail that have an unused driveway or roadway that crosses it. And yes, I do agree with the previous posts about the stop sign being there for a reason and what they mean. Now, let the flames begin!!!! ha ha
Trails, hotels and gas stations!!
Re: Trails, hotels and gas stations!!
Just looking at the trail condition board. I hope the Armstrong Creek club is doing OK. I have not seen a post from the groomer for awhile. Is everthing OK there??? I did not want to bash those guys. It did seem it odd that their trails were a bit rough. They are always on top of it. Hopefully all is well there!!! Happy sledding folks.
Re: Trails, hotels and gas stations!!
I believe the armstrong groomer is out right now I seen a fresh groomed trail leaving gudowics on my way home from work.
In reply to the gas the higher the octane doesn,t equal higher performance,it increases the temp. in which the gas ignites which will decreace the chance of detonation.

Re: Trails, hotels and gas stations!!
Dick and DickP were sick for a few day,all is well and there out grooming. I groomed to the Pestigo River today and not one sled on the trail in two days. Wabeno groomer will not go out until we start seeing some traffic.
Re: Trails, hotels and gas stations!!
