I ride an 07 Renegade 600, and it works great on trails and you'll love it when the trails get rough, the extra length really smoothes things out.

Great insight guys. The more I hear about guys liking thier long tracks the more I'm leaning towards one for my next sled. My question I have is in the studding dept. Anybody running a few in em for the ICY corners and stopping power.

Maybe it's not the riders with the studs but the riders on 800 + sleds without studs and 1.5" lugs that flip the flipper lever to the bars at every corner :shrug: I know that I don't need to spin my track and rip up each corner because with studs I can maintain a steady pace going though the corners without spinning and wasting extra energy

As a groomer operator, more damage is done to trails by sled operator habits (very aggressive driving) than by studs or taller lugs. My Renegade has studs with a 1.25 inch lug and because of all the extra traction I feel it keeps my track from spinning and ripping up the trail. Could my track rip up the trail? Sure, but my riding style doesn't allow it.

Well I guess I will different. I owned a Skidoo 2005 GTX 137" track very similar to the Gade. In the tight twissties I had to work hard to keep up with my short track buddies. My new GSX
shorty is awesome. I don't go off trail however. I am 225 pounds 6'. The new sleds may be designed different as was said before with the tipped rail. My 2 cents

I love my Apex LTX 136" . Ride is great and no problems except in tight corners or trying to get into gas stations(cement).
Never go back to a short track just like I'll never go back to 2 wheels since I bought my Goldwing Trike.

x2 to what Snohawk said, and I know from personal experience that being studded helps Snohawk at ALL the stop signs.:thebomb:
