Do you by any chance know what the ice depth is on lakes?

My old man and some friends of his are goin up north this weekend to do some ice fishing

THEN WORK THEIR WAY INTO NORTHEAST AND EAST CENTRAL WISCONSIN LATE WEDNESDAY NIGHT INTO THURSDAY MORNING. THE SNOW IS EXPECTED TO PERSIST THROUGH THURSDAY NIGHT... THEN TAPER OFF ON FRIDAY. [COLOR="#0000CD"]TOTAL ACCUMULATIONS OVER A 36 TO 48 HOUR PERIOD ARE EXPECTED TO BE IN THE 5 TO 8 INCH RANGE[/COLOR]...EXCEPT OVER VILAS COUNTY... Was up last weekend and they were driving trucks on Lake Metonga. But I couldn't tell exactly you how much ice is out there?

12 to 14 inches on the lake I was on sunday

44 degrees in Rhinelander today. But, snow predicted starting tomorrow night through Friday. 3-6", possibly more check back.

its coming!:thinksnow: who knows, with the wonderful paychecks the weathermen get for not being able to give an accurate forecast, they could be underestimating the totals!:thumbup::letitsnow: i'm going to go out on a limb and say the 8-12 for vilas is coming a lot farther southeast than expected creating a massive winter storm warning for everyone!!!1:biggrin:

Latest forecast from channel 12 Rhinelander looks like we will be getting the much need snow by Friday. They are saying 6-12 with most to the east. Keep tuned.

Finally, some forecasts of decent snow that are close enough to believe! :biggrin: No plans to be up until the end of the month, so I'm hoping it just keep on coming. Forecasts seen to show some clippers for later next week, too!
