2015 Skidoo
MXZ TNT 600 Etec
1700 miles
Great steering, tracks great and the power for a 600 is great.
As mentioned burping the gas tank to get last gallon of gas in, Gas gauge but I go by miles not gauge anyway

I have had no repairs or issues. Love the sled!!

Great topic by the way.
Make: Polaris

Model: Rush 600 ProR

Year: 2011
Current mileage: 9300

3 things that you like about your sled: 1. The light weight feeling. 2. The suspension in the rough trail.s 3. The weight transfer.

3 areas or items that need improvement: 1. Storage (lack of), can't even bring any extra tools or first aid kit. 2. Front cooler gets packed with ice if you bast a snow bank or drift.
3. Runs hot on hard pack trails when the temps are below 20

Have you had any repairs? Type and mileage. Fuel pump bad at 4500 miles
I have an update about my sled. After 9300 miles and 320 hours the top end is in need of replacement. The piston ring land wore out and the ring got caught on the port, may not have been so bad if I knew this had happened when I was at Summit Lake. Drove it home 80 miles because it still had good power. Not sure how or why it decided to keep running.

Make: Arctic Cat

Model: Z1 LXR (non Turbo)

Year: 2009

Current Mileage: 11,000 +

Three things you like about your sled: 1) Power and torque of the motor 2) The comfortable
suspension 3) The heated seat, especially when it is below zero.

Three areas or items that need improvement: 1) The weight of the sled 2) Better gas mileage 3) Rebuild-
able shocks-people that put on a ton of miles, I can't see
them rebuilding their shocks at the required intervals.

Have you had any repairs? Type and mileage: Just general maintenance, need the valves checked every
5,000 miles. Had the shocks rebuilt numerous times.
Accidentally stripped out the oil drain plug.

Is that the suzuki engine in the Cat? Cant believe a 4 stroke requires valves to be checked every 5000 miles. My nytro doesnt require it until 22,000 or something and its just the exhaust valves.

I recall seeing the Cat 4s valve check is at 5k, Yamaha at 26k, thinking that is for both intake and exhaust (same as my Yamaha FJR cycle valve check), Ski Doo's 1200 has a 12k mile interval. The 900 ACE has hydraulic lifters-no adjustment or check necessary

Yeah I would have both checked anyways if I was in there at 26k miles!

You have a 900ace correct? I was considering one for the wife in 2 years when the bun is out of the oven and she wants to ride again. Budget limiting so we will see if used prices drop otherwise its goign to be a 2010 vector with the FI nytro engine. She sat on my 09 xtx this year after riding a 2004/5 polaris classic 600 forever and wanted something like it. its for sale if you know anyone looking!

Do you feel the 900ace is front heavy and has a planted feel like a yamadozer or still like the older ones with a more floating feel from not being rider forward?

I put my wife on a renegade 600 ACE this year from a 06' vector and she loves it. She couldn't ride the vector two days in a row anymore because of the heavy steering, non rider forward position and heavy throttle pull.

The Renegade is almost 200# lighter, the steering is light, it has a fly by wire throttle that is as light of a pull as a ATV throttle and is so ridiculously smooth and quiet it's unlike any sled you have ever ridden. Nimble, Handles great, 1200 rpm clutch engagement as smooth as an ATV and at 50 mph all you hear is wind. I rode her new sled one weekend and sold my vector the next week.

I will however say that the 4 stroke Yamaha engine is a fantastic motor for a sled. Powerful, reliable and durable as all hell. Adding EFI, a higher riding position and power steering to the newer vectors made them a really nice trail sled package too but they are still heavy.

Did you get the 600 or 900ace? I dont think the 600ace will be enough for her. She loves to go fast when she can but in the twisties she goes slower. Like I said it would be 2 years from now so we will learn a lot between now and then about the ace engines. I know they are in Bombardiers/seadoo's new cheap jetski as well.

We have the 600ACE and it has no problem keeping up. You won't be able to loose it in the woods. Corner to corner it has lots of torque and it's just as fast as anything else. 0-60 it will keep within a sled length of my son's 550 mxz. After 60 though the two stroke will start to walk away. Now, that being said, it's a 70 mph top end machine on the grade. Not enough for some, but fast enough for many. oh, did I mention 25+ mpg....
