I don't know Toolman what the deal is with Lakewood & Mountian area trails. They just do not seem to get out enough or at the best times or:confused: ?The 100 miler is always out, Townsend too, even the LMT seems to be a little slow to get it done at times.

Yeah I don't get it, it was so far THE weekend of the year, and perhaps the BEST weekend this year and they weren't out. We were out on Friday and one of the groomers from Red Arrow was backing out of the trail leading to Animals on 64 and T. He said he would be back that night, the snow was to wet for him to get up the hills. (I'll post some pics tomorrow), anyway, we headed on and the trail considering the amount of snow we had was not bad, and the groomer did get it done later that night. Sunday morning expecting some nice groomed trails, which Red Arrow did provide for us, (Thanks RA!) butas soon as we got past Animals....Damn....we should have turned around. We couldn't believe that they hadn't been out. Furthermore early afternoon, we were in Lakewood getting gased up and had riders asking about any groomed trails! Said nothing had been good. Told them to head North! We rode the crap out of Red Arrow and LMT this weekend.... no complaints there!

My brother Kevin and I saw the other Lakewood Sno Cat with new
Ultimate winged drag sitting by the town shed, it was still covered with snow
from the first snow storm and has not been moved for quite awile.
Maybe it has mechanical problems????

Bad trails??

And I thought you REV riders LOOK for moguls??? ;)
Whats up with all the complaining??? :D LOL J/K

The LMT, 100 miler and red arrow clubs are a dedicated group, no doubt.
Glad to hear the trails are full of snow, as we plan to come up th. night.

Yeah, I'd like to think there is a good reason but..... I had taken the trail from the Valley Inn on Sunday morning, heading to Animals and then around, we had taken this on Friday and it was OK, figuring some grooming had occured figured it would be a nice ride. Well it was all the way to Animals...and then....Yucko! Once you leave Animals continuing around to eventually Lakewood your on the Chute Pond system, it was crap...BUT I know it changes to PBR at some point so hoping.....we went on. Well by the time it changes and it isn't any better...it's to late to turn around! Anyway...ending up in Lakewood, I see the groomer going out, taking the trail that heads out towards the dump and then either to the Golf Course or ski hill / airport. We headed back up to Townsend on the Cathedral Pines which hadn't been groomed at all after the storm the weekend before either. The Townsend trails were all good and groomed, and so we headed out on their system which would eventually come out by the airport area in Lakewood. Remember, the groomer was headed that way? Well...at the airport no sign of anything coming through, we headed on, if he didn't go that way then perhaps through the Golf Course instead? Nope...so where did they go? Anyway...it was a major disapointment. Had I any idea I would have went north where things have been great all year. The major disapointment is that we haven't had the trails in that area to ride on at all, and when it is possible, it really isn't. Yeah, I'm a bit partial to Red Arrow I'm a member, but all trails lead somewhere else...

Anyway, my hats off and my  to Red Arrow and LMT!!!!
Again, thanks for all your hard work and a great effort at keeping things in good shape!

Here is the new Red Arrow groomer - he got stuck going up a rather steep grade because of the wet snow and had to back out! Friday Morning. Taken on the trail that leads to Animals.
