What's the scoop on the snow north of highway 8?? How much?
Nothing has changed since 12/11 when you asked "How Much Snow" in response to the 5-6" that fell that day. On 12/16, Tim wanted to know if there was "Any Snow Left", after we had a few days of warmer weather that melted the base down to 2-3". Two days later, you pleaded "Come On Winter" when you inquired about where our "big winter storm" was. On 12/22, Johnnie posted "Not Even Close Yet" in response to the current conditions and future forecast. Yesterday (Christmas Day) we broke out the "white crayons" and started the "snow dances".
Trails open yet? my guess would be not yet but you think maybe this weekend?
Beside the fact we don't have near enough snow, you may wish to review these Additional Trail Opening Concerns.

And now that everyone is up to date....
it's time to get back to the white crayons and the snow dances! :taz:

It's so annoying and odd that we don't have good conditions yet. I remember last new years it was warm but not quite as warm as it is these past few weeks but at least there was better riding conditions last year.
Perhaps if we take our white crayons and sing the magic chant, old man winter will bless:angel: us with the decades best year for snow :D:thumbup:

Remember, even if it snows a foot tomorrow, the trails won't open for a while. The first grooming takes a while to get through and even then the "conditions" will be less then good. It will take a while to develop a base.

The trail opening date must be published in the local paper first, which is the Forest Republican, and it's a weekly periodical.

That's the one thing I do not understand, I thought the republicans only purpose was to start the woodstove

I would think that Old Man Winter cant be held back too much longer though!!! I bet once it starts snowing he will really give us something to talk about.... Or at least thats what I am keeping my fingers crossed for...

This itch I have is getting pretty bad!
