Dave W. reported the grade north of Laona was good. The trail back often called the Margie Rd was very good. The short curvy stretch toward Lk Lucerne is not good. In and around Laona is not good. Accross from Cheney's is bare but once in the woods ok. He will be going south to Himley Lk tomorrow and I think the report will be the same. The curvy stuff will have bare corners and the straighter trails will be ok. Where there are logging jobs going on, there is some bare trails. One that comes to mind is between Johnnies and Argonne. North of Hwy 8 got some snow last week and the trails seem to be better there. Think Snow!!! Just got off the phone with a group who started in Blackwell and rode north. They have over 100 miles on and are presently in Long Lake. They said the grade is very good along with the 100 Miler to Armstrong Ck. They said the Fence area was a little thin. The curvy stuff around Cavour is fine.
