100 Mile Snow Safari Forum

I was wondering if anyone could tell me the conditions around pickerel lake and on the lake. Is there still snow on the lake? Can you ride the trails around the lake? Im coming up for the jump in and was wondering if I just take the 4wheeeler up or get away with the sled. I would really like to bring the sled considering I only have 700 miles on my new sled. I will take the good with the bad. Just some info would be great. Thanks.

I dont know how the snow is in pickeral. it is kind of south of crandon and i know they suggest to stay north of crandon/laona area. personally i think i would still take the sled.

As of Sunday, Pickerel Lake was fine. Lots of snow on the lake. The trail coming down to the lake from the north was good however the trail leading south from Pickerel to the town of Pickerel was not so good. It was beaten and the snow was full of dirt.

Rode 160 miles yesterday . Laona west to Monico , up to Starks , back to 3 Lakes , then to Hiles , was pretty good to that point . Went north towards Alvin and things went from bad to worse , by the time I got to Hwy 70 it was more dirt than snow , things got better once I got back into Florence cty .
