I rode 85 miles on the 100 Mile Snow Safari yesterday. I rode the 100 Miler South from Armstrong Creek to Wabeno/Carter, then I took the NST North to Newald, and the 100 Miler East back to Armstrong Creek. The trails were very good overall, and I saw quite a few sleds. The trail south of Goodman Town Park Rd. had a mild washboard action going on. Roger, can you tell me when the last time that was groomed? I was wondering how fast that went. There is a stop sign missing on the north side of the first road south of INT-30. I believe it to be Kuffner Rd. I was wondering if there should be a stop sign at Soper St & 3rd St in Wabeno too. At the very minimum there should be an Orange Blazer. The rider cannot always depend on snow tracks alone for directions, especially if there are tracks in multiple directions, or no tracks at all. Overall, it was a great ride. I didn't take any pictures for a couple of reasons. First, I thought I'd be taking pictures later that night when I was grooming, not realizing that it probably wasn't going to get cold enough. The second reason was to 'just ride'. :thebomb:

What do you think Jim? Will the trails make it too and thru the weekend? Friday looks cool, and Saturday looks to be a t-shirt day. Thanks for all the updates and the great trails:thumbup:

Thanks for all the updates and the great trails:thumbup:
The trails should make it up to the weekend. What kind of condition they will be in, is a good guess. Hopefully, once the temperature cools down tonight, we can get out and take a peek. Thursday High 37 Low 18. Friday High 30 Low 24. They look good. It's Saturday and beyond that looks iffy, and could be the start of our demise. There also seems to be an excessive amount of surface water. Keep your fingers crossed, and check back for updates. Ride 'em if you got 'em.
