How long do you think the trails are going to last up there with the warm weather? Am I going to be able to ride on sat for a while in the morning before it gets to warm?

One way to find out...
Better be up with the birds. Supposed to be 42. It's been cold and have a good frost in the ground. Partly depends on the amount of clouds.

We'll just have to wait and see what the weather brings.

I'm sure hoping that things can maintain so we can get out on Saturday at a minimum! :sledder:  It's interesting to see the differences in forecasts for the next few days, The Weather Channel is saying cloudy to partly cloudy with the temps in the mid 30's today, and the low 40's tomorrow, Sat & Sun. Accuweather is calling for low 30's today, and upper 30's tomorrow and Sat with 40's on Sun. Green Bay is saying 28 today and 36 tomorrow-can't get Sat & Sun for the North on WBAY till tomorrow, and John Dee is saying upper 20's with periods above freezing for the next few days. John Dee in the past has been pretty accurate, I hope this holds true!

Would doing the dance help? :taz: :taz:

I'll give you 2 more weekends. The last one may not be the greatest but rideable. We will start doing night grooming starting tonight. Have a safe ride.

Good job, jim, you have been taught well.[/quote] I just got back from putting 90 miles on our supreme trails. :D We rode from Armstrong Creek to Newald, to Cavour, to Laona, to LMT 8, to the 100 Miler south of town. Even the LMT 8 was in "SUPREME" condition! ;)

Got my last up north ride in today (unless something drastic with the weather comes around)..... and it was excellent. Most trails this morning were about as good as they can be, save for Jim's glasstop specials (see photos in ArmstrongCreek area). Rode over to the Northwoods Diner @ Pickerel for lunch and back, then up to the Peshtigo River on the 100 Miler before returning to Wabeno and loading up for home. It was starting to get pretty slippery/mushy in the afternoon what with the warm temps. But most areas were definitely the best they've been all year. I wouldn't expect that they'll hold up to the combination of warm temps and heavy traffic over the weekend.
About 130 miles for the day, including one fortunate encounter with an attractive young lady on a blue Yamaha Vector (which my uncle and I deduced her name has to be Victoria) somewheres on the Townsend diamond. Shame on your cohort for leaving you in the dust.... you should have tagged along with us instead!
