Pictures like that remind me of picking up my first sled . Bought a 76 Merc Twister in 1978 from a guy south of Fond Du Lac , no trailer , no problem , put it sideways across the trunk , tied it to the door handles of my 66 Chevy and hauled it home to Sheboygan . Wish I would have gotten a picture .

And I bet you wish you still had that Twister, I had a friend that ran a 76 Sno Twister on the trails back then, great laughs when I think back, had to have the steering modified, and put on a home made gas tank too.

I rode with him for many years.
His name was Dick Weber. I drove that sled when he first got it.
Had the crooked handle bars and the small tank.
Rode in the field behind my house on Cedar Lake.
The one day he came with his new setup, straight bars and a custom 7 gallon gas tank.
Every time we went up north he had trouble with it.
Just not a trail sled.

76 Sno Twisters were factory race sleds , not really set up for trail riding , they sure were fast .
I had a 440 Trail Twister , they were rough riders too , about 3.5 - 4 inches rear suspension travel in back if I remember right . Sure were fun to ride on a smooth trail , went around corners like they were on a rail , but on a rough trail after 75 -- 100 miles in a day you were ready to walk home . After 6 years , 5000 miles and 4 cd boxes: 
: I sold it , that and the two wrecked 75 T/T's and the 74 S/T that I used to build one for my wife to ride . Wish I would of had a place to store them at the time so I could be playing with them now .:frown:
