100 Mile Snow Safari Forum

How many miles is it form Goodman to Crandon via the snowmobile trail? We are planning an overnight trip from Iron Mountian and I would like to know total mileage. I already know it its 55 miles from Iron Mt to Goodman. Need Goodman to Crandon.

I have never rode into crandon on sled,but My best guess would be 50 to 60 miles from goodman,

I've made that actual run at once (and ridden all of the various trails that would make that run many times) though I didn't pay attention to the mileage. I'll trust the other guesses, which sound reasonable for the shortest patch you could take... but there's no direct way to go once you reach Armstrong Creek - the trails do NOT go "as the crow flies!" It will simply be a matter of selecting which combination of fun, twisty woods trails will suit you best. If you are looking to keep time/mileage on the lower side, I might suggest incorporating a portion of the NST grade trail. One way or another, you'll need to work a bit south to get to Crandon, and the NST would be the most direct way to chop some time/distance - assuming conditions are smooth. On the other hand, if it were me, and I was looking to extend the fun, I'd stick to some combination of the twisty, wooded trails!

It is hard to go wrong - the long stretch of the 100 Miler trail between Wabeno and Newald, via Armstrong Creek, is definitely one of my favorites!

Any trail west of Goodman will be new to us so it should be fun, whatever route we take. Thanks everyone for the info. Ride Safe.

Do be careful on the trail from Goodman to Armstrong Creek. :erm:
It hasn't been groomed or panned yet this year (that I know of). :boggled:

I don't think that's stop them before, but perhaps we have enough snow now!

Hopefully, it will get groomed. Either way, be careful.
