Did the weekend weather cause a major meltdown?? How did things hold up? Forecasts may have a glimmer of hope.

We lost a little snow, with the rain. Some clubs up north panned some and they looked real nice. We need another 6 to 8 inches more before trying any work in the Wabeno area. Some snow in the forecast, so we can only hope.

I would say we lost about 60-70% of our 12-16 inches. Our club (Algoma Snowriders of Kewaunee County) had groomed everything at least once (some trails got up to 5 or 6 passes on them) before the warm up and I would say from what I saw today 75% of the trails have a excellent ice base on them with the Anhapee Trail aroud 95% covered. We lost a lot of snow but grooming actually helped save alot of the snow and create a great ice base. We were also hoping to open today but will probally have to wait for another 4-6 inches.
