Jim,
I got reports from some snowmobilers that there are sections of the 100 miler that have log chunks and other debris on the trail. They couldn't give me any other details, but I assume it was between Armstrong and Newald. It sounded like the groomer operator was trying to grab extra snow and hooked some debris as well. That happens a lot this time of year!!

Debris on trail

That's where the snowmobilers can help the groomer operators. If you see any debris on the trail, please stop and throw the debris off the trail. When you're grooming after dark you can't see if any debris is pulled in.

They are logging near Nelligan Pond, and sometimes that can be a mess. But it looked good last night. I didn't see anything. Makes me wonder, if it was 100 Miler, because I know sometimes it's easy to get the trails mixed up. Especially in Newald, where we have the 100 Miler, the NST (Nicolet State Trail), and the Blackbear Sportsmen trails intersect the Goodman Grade, with Florence County just North of Popple River. But if you hear anything else, let me know!
