That's what happened last week in the big storm in SE Wi..... All the TV stations were saying the snowmobilers would be happy with all the snow and viewers were emailing pics of driving their sleds so everyone thought they could ride the trails because there is snow.
But the trails weren't open
I guess we can call it the Snowball Effect......lol
If they open the trails on Thurs. and they are all mud.......Will someone ride???
You would think common sense would prevail

Yes. I think that report was a couple of days old.

I drove through Eagle River and Land-O-Lakes on Thursday. In my opinion they was not enough snow to open the trails. With this weeks warm weather, they will be even worse. They do plan on "opening" the trails in Vilas County on Thursday. Opening the trails to them means the gates will be open and ride at your own risk. Hopefully next week the weather will return to winter!!

Better have wheels on your sled if you're planning on riding Vilas county this weekend.

yea....we rode it while we had it here in se wi...the ditches were full...probably the earliest riding we've ever seen around here....it was great!!!!
this warm krap will disipate in 5 or 6 days followed by some colder temps....hope the northern parts get some precip. along with the cold.....been following the weather lately and we've been as cold or colder than the no. part of wi. down here lately....we have 8" of glare ice on our small lake....not looking good for the next week though...we could lose some of it.
