Yeah, it (forecast) looks bad. I was hoping to get up for one final ride tomorrow and then bring my machine back home, but I best just retrieve the thing and call it done.:mad:

Roger - Our place is in Langlade County. Is it worth it to trailer to Pickerel Lake on Saturday to ride Forest or Oconto Counties? Can you suggest a loop that might be better than others?

Roberts Lake may be a good drop off point. From there you can head north the Johnnie to Waters Edge to Laona. I'm not to sure of riding in to Towns. Good luck.

Thanks Roger. That sounds good and is usually a good route. Does anyone else have any other suggestions?

Based on the forecasts I have seen, it's all over. Stick a fork in it. That fat lady is getting real loud. Too bad, it's still early, the first time in 5-6 years that there will be no riding on St Pats day. I'm calling it, the season is over.

I rode last sunday and the best trails were Himley Lake, 100 miler from Ludington Lake to Laona, & Deep Hole Lake Rd.. It was pretty ugly getting to these trails though and sunday was cold enough to freeze everything up.

May still be able to short ride in the Silver Lake, Lake Lucerne, Roberts Lake areas. There are several wide road trails in this area. Where the trails are tight and curvy, they should be bad.

I'm still waiting for that march snowstorm:sledder: the last time we didn't get at least a 5" dumping was '99 no snow that year,(snow melted week after super bowl and never came back).I can't hear the fat lady any more, it's amazing what you can do with a rope and a maple tree:twisted:
