do the lmt's groom?
put a nice 110 mile run on yesterday. ran from mountain up. for the most part the trails were great. but i am left with a dillema! the worst part of the trip was from waters edge to crandon and laona to wabeno!(all lmt trails) the trails were busted open pretty good but it did not look like a groomer touched the trails in 2 weeks! besides, it looked as if there was no action at the lmt garage in wabeno for awhile. does anyone know what the problem is? not enough drivers:shrug: i know they cover alot of miles but i was wondering if anyone could help me figure it out? right now the lumberjack memorial trails should change the name to low maintence trails!

I agree, it seems the LMT is always lacking compared to the other clubs, it would be nice to know why.

The LMT trails we rode on had been groomed before Saturday. The were flat with 3-4" of fresh snow on them. Then on Sunday morning the trails were also groomed again. The trails were around Carter and Wabeno.
Maybe the problem is not so much the groomers but the Riders using the trails. The trails do not have a lot of snow on them and some of the riders blast all of the snow off in every corner and down the straight

Well said, the snow was light and fluffy and the riders styles sure don't help. Every intersection and every corner on the throttle.

LMT Trails
The center part of LMT was groomed last Friday. The north end on Saturday. Trail conditions are split, forest roads and grades (except where snow was blown off) are in good shape, the hilly twistees are fair at best. More snow is needed to fill in the dips.
Also the club purchased a new Tactor and has had some issues with its operation, it is parked now waiting for custom chains due in today.
Bottom line-- more snow is needed. This low moisture snow we have been getting is pretty but really doesn't do much to improve the trails.
