Sunday - 2/12 Trailer Drop Off

Post by bee1971 »

Usually drop off and ride from Laona at the gas station , but was thinking something closer to Armstrong Creek - Another words stay closer to the best snow and ride north

Any suggestions - I live in southern oconto county off hwy32

Also those that rode today , how pounded did they get , and is it worth the trailer up in the am to ride

Thanx Scott
is it worth the trailer up in the am to ride
The Armstrong Creek Groomer is currently grooming the trails to the south and east of Armstrong Creek and when it returns, we'll fuel it up, and groom the trails to the north of Armstrong Creek. So, all of Armstrong Creek's 100 Mile Snow Safari Trails will be freshly groomed for tomorrow....

Trails

Post by Roger »

All the Wabeno area trails were groomed today and tonight. Trails heading to Armstrony Creek will be groomed within the next couple of hours. Some ruff spots but most are in good condition. Ride safe. Roger
Sounds AWESOME - But a place to drop , any staging areas
The Armstrong Creek Community Center located just behind the Corner Store Shell at the junction of US Hwy 8 & US Hwy 101 has a large parking lot that would probably suffice.

There is also a trail access from the parking lot to the east that runs between the town garage building and the cell phone tower.

The Citgo station in Wabeno may be another option to consider (closer).
The Citgo station in Wabeno may be another option to consider (closer).
You can take the freshly groomed 100 Mile Snow Safari trails to Armstrong Creek and Newald, and then back down the NST through Cavour and Laona, finally ending up back in Wabeno. It might make a nice little loop.

I'm sure you could drop in Townsend at the fish-a-ree. That is what that area is for.
I just checked the grade and it is good enough to head north from.
That's my plan for tomorrow.
