With the costs of grooming going up every year, I have a serious question that might sound ungrateful to some on here,...but here it goes....
and this question is directed at the 3 main groomers on here.
Do you find yourself regrooming trails that in fact don't really need it, especially midweek?
We all know that as grooming costs increase, ways to pay for it need to increase and ultimately get dropped down to the end users through reg. fees etc.
Honestly, I enjoy a few bumps on a trail....I get enough mindless smooth driving on the highways to get to the trails I love.
Am I nuts for bringing this up?...LOL
No...

We don't get out every day midweek.
Every trail segment isn't groomed every day.
Some trail segments are groomed less than others.
Not to mention...

More snowmobilers are riding midweek.
Grooming may include, but not be limited to the following...

Trail Inspection
Trail Maintenance
Trail Brushing/Trimming
Trail Signing
We try to groom EVERY segment BEFORE/AFTER each weekend day for obvious reasons!

They get hammered long and hard!
And who doesn't like to break a virgin ribbon? :thebomb:

Have to give a  to the groomer drivers! I have been riding the 100 for many years, and yesterday was the best i have seen it. Perfect trails especially when going to armstrong creek from wabeno! There were no moguls, icy corners, etc. Keep up the great job!
p.s. please leave an inch of loose snow on the trails. My sled keeps overheating!!!

I'm with Jim , its a lot more work than most would think. Plenty of folks get nervous when pulling a trailer down the 4 lane , try pulling a 20' trailer down the miles of winding trails we have. point being , its a different type of stress while grooming . Its not the 8-12 mph relaxing joyride thought of by most . I enjoy the job , and am grateful to belong to a club that cares so much about our trail system :coolcat: Preventive Maintenance , is the best way to stay ahead of the game .
