Stay exactly on marked trails on Pickerel Lake!!!! They will safely direct you through dangerous ice shoves on the lake.

okay, i now know what it is thanks to Wikipedia. A little surprised to hear about something like that on a lake up there though.

Hate to say it, but it does. and not every year! I know. Still have rod in leg from broken femur to prove it from the last time I knew there was a heave and that was 20 years ago.

Yes I rode over one on Lake Lucerne last year. I took a ride around the lake, luckily I wasn't going that fast. When I saw it coming, I held on tight. It scared the shit out of me! Like I said very lucky I wasn't going that fast.:eek:
