Think Spring!

Post by thinksnow »

Yes, I am aware of the necessary publication for Forest County Trails. What got me upset was Johnnie made it sound like as long as there is snow Forest County the trails would remain open and there was snow in the forecast. Yes I am aware of the fact that many snowstorms are duds and even the snow you did get was going to melt fast. I admit it that I am a diehard sledder, once the trails are open I will be on them and at the end of the season if I can't get to the trails by snowmobile I will trailer them there. I know, I have a problem! I wasn't aware of the fact that the clubs were running out of money.:frown: My property is in Forest County and I like the fact that once the trails are open they remain open throughout the season and are open longer than most other Counties. Like I stated before, I have been a member with one of the local clubs for a number of years and try to help out when I can. Some day I want to learn how to groom. I had three clubs in Forest County already ask me if I would be interested in grooming for them. I am very appreciated of what the clubs and volunteers do. I know if it wasn't for the clubs and private landowners there would be no trails. It was a long great season, time to think spring!
And you should see the town roads.... they're looking like, well... town roads. Bare to the bone!
A little birdie told me armstrong creek is considering closing the cemetery road and allowing snowmbiles only next winter :coolcat::cheers:

You know the road that usually was scraped to the bare bones every snow storm!! it was a bit better this winter they did leave more snow then usual but this will be great eliminating that stretch of road and some of that stretch of blacktop south of the railroad to red bridge
