Yesterday's Ride

Post by Jim »

I had a buddy come by yesterday morning on his sled. After a couple games of pool, he convinced me to go riding with him. We rode a combination of trails, forest roads, and private land. I must say, it felt good just to get out. I only had five miles on the new sled, from back in November. We ended up putting on about 60 miles yesterday. I think some of the deepest snow we found, was right here on my property! ;) We did ride the trail south of town too. The swamp south of town is all wet again. There must of been 10 inches of standing water there. We turned around there, rather then go through that. We were also going to ride 100 Miler south of Benson Lake Rd, but that trail was in such poor condition, we turned around and headed back. It was mostly green grass showing, and very little snow. Overall, we had a pretty good ride. I had my camera with me, but didn't take any pictures, because I was enjoying my ride too much. When you have to stop all the time to take pictures, it sort of takes away from the ride. So, I just rode! :D
