It's almost here again , our annual Brushing Day will be on December 5th . As usual, most volunteers already have a section or two that they work on every year . Keep in mind that there's a lot of water in most areas , more than we've had in past years . Most of our trails on public land have been brushed with our tractor so the bulk of work will consist of removing already fallen brush from the trail . Areas of concern for the Armstrong Creek section would include the trail from Nelligan Pond east toward Armstrong ( I'm assuming the usual crew from Cavour will be in there ), the section from the old Christmas Tree Inn to Rat River Rd and down the Rat River trail to intersection 30 . Portions of the rat river trail are under water but are passable with ATVs. Anyone looking for an area to help out can contact our Vice President Ralphie or myself via this website . Thanks to all in advance , be safe , if you have trees that are unsafe to cut please leave them for our equipment . See you at Jar's bar and grill for the party afterwards !
Thanks Jim , the Armstrong crew and myself will take care of that section . Hope to see the boys on the trail this year , they have kept up that section for years .
My brushing crew would like a section to do, preferably a dryer section since we don't have ATVs or UTVs. Plus we are from the Pickerel area, so sections near this area.
