Tuesday Morning 12/27

Post by Jim »

The Snow Safari #2 from Armstrong Creek to Fence and Cavour were groomed last night and early this morning, and are rated in VERY GOOD condition.

The NST #1 from Cty Hwy O to Jct. 5 of the Blue Ox was also groomed last night and early this morning, and are also rated in VERY GOOD condition.

There were lots of branches and trees down from the high winds. And just because we've been through there, it doesn't mean that something else couldn't have fallen, so please be careful.

Trails are shaping up for a great MID-WEEK RIDE. They'll probably be in better shape than the opening!!

Armstrong Tuesday Update

As mentioned ,trails are in good shape for the most part . However , the weekend warm temps and traffic have exposed areas in the swamps that still aren't completely froze . The swamp behind lakes 8 & 9 has an OPEN AREA that needs to freeze yet . No amount of signing justifies people making dumb decisions to cross OPEN water or MUD holes . Read your manual on what type of terrain your snowmobile is to be operated on . Anyone that leads you across unfroze and open areas is not your friend - Please be careful out there , early season conditions exist and please use some COMMON SENSE when riding the trails wherever you ride .
