I was doing a little grouse hunting this past weekend on the LMT-7 between Laona and Wabeno, north of Bushaffer Road. I came to a landowner’s gate with no trespassing signs posted. Written on two boards nailed to his gate were the words” Any more ATV's trespassing and this trail will be closed to snowmobiles".
The actions of ATV riders have a big affect on snowmobiling.
My guess is that most if not all who frequent this website are responsible individuals but we all need to speak up if we see others defying peoples right to private property. It would be a shame to see a trail closed because of one or two irresponsible individuals.
ATV Riders on Snowmobile Trail
I Agree, However the land owner just gave the ATV people that do use his land without permission and obviously don't care a way to screw all of us by punishing us for something another sport is doing. The people that are using his land would probably love to screw all the snowmobilers. I know it is his land and he can do what he wants. I hope he changes his mind (please) and doesn't hold snowmobiles accountable for what someone else is doing. It is too bad it must come down to this.

QUESTION? WHEN YOU TURN ON YOUR SNOWMOBILE, DOES IT RETURN THE FAVOR??

I agree. I find it quite ironic that we're (snowmobilers) being held responsible for the actions of others (ATV'ers).
Because I don't think it's anybody that rides a sled during the winter, that's doing it. But it could be, I suppose. I figure, the property owner is going to have the PROBLEM whether our trail goes through there or not!
He/She would probably be better off with US helping fight the battle. But that doesn't mean we shouldn't RESPECT the RIGHTS of the LAND OWNERS. :king:
I noticed ATV tracks on the trail leaving Wild Rose resort. You could see they just went around the locked gate marked no motorized vehicles. Of all the places ATVs can go, cant they find a better spot than our trails and wrecking everything for the law abiding snowmobilers. We only have about 3 good months if that to ride and if there is good snow but yet we may lose that because some YAHOOS cant read.
