Know one here remembers them opening this early either. Late next week they are saying 40 degree temps are coming. :( Our trails might be done for. At least we got to ride for one week down here this year.:(

trails opening all over

The trails may be closed yet in Forest County, but come on down to South Central and Southeastern WI if you want to ride! we have over a foot with a hard ice base. Trails in Dodge, Fod du Lac, Northern Washington and Ozaukee counties are open and are all being groomed. I was grooming the past few days and cannot believe how much snow we have and how good the trails are. Best conditions in a decade, and early in the season to boot! while nothing compares to the 100 miler, there are some nice trails thru the Kettle Moraine state forest and surrounding areas.

I personally wont ride.. Since I was born and raised in Forest County I know how the trails look do to our great club and the snow we get. I dont want to get out to early and ride when I can wait for better riding.. Rain for a good base so we can ride longer and better into the season.

I finally bought a trailer after yrs of never leaving Forest County.. All be hittin the UP trails, Watersmeet was great last yr. 1st time every riding out side of forest. This yr all do the same, hit the UP and wait for our area to get some good snow fall and a base..

Luv the U.P. but would prefer a normal winter. Last year florence and marinette had so little snow...just bad! Even part's of the U.P. It's nice to be able to ride all over:)
