1971 chapperal red with supertrap mufflers, no slide rails all bogey
fiberglass and aluminum- pretty light for the year and also pretty fast also - topped out at 80 mph on lake - absolutly no suspension maybee 2 inches
540cc fan cooled hearth engine with dual carbs later I put a 900 rotax ultralight aircraft engine in it and ice draged it for a few years 100+mph

I was first introduced to snowmobiling on a 1972 Zephyr Moto Ski. This thing was a tank. I remember my dad sucking on the gas line because the primer didn't work. Every winter I looked forward to riding it on my grandparents farm. I first started trail riding with an 89 Phazer we call it the "Lazer Phazer". She is still in commission and starts with 1 or two pulls. Every once in a while I'll take it out on the trails. You may laugh, but it's still a fun sled to ride. A few years ago I had her pinned for a couple miles and I started smelling smoke. I opened the hood and saw that some brush had caught fire under the chain case.
