another great year

Post by Red Baron »

I think the fat lady is geting ready. Too bad, it's been a great year. It was a little slow getting started, but it's been great since mid January. Thanks to the 100 miler for the best trails around. I am interested to know how much fuel has been used this year in the 3 groomers. I think people will be suprised to hear the costs to keep the trails smooth. Also, how many miles have been driven grooming this year? Thanks again, see you all in fall at the brushing party.

As of now, the trails are still good, but we can not take many days like yesterday. As far as fuel cosumption on the 3 groomers of the 100 Miler, we are still waiting to receive some bills. The tractor which is probably the most fuel effiecent, use $3,300.00 in the month of Feb. alone. Mulitply that by 3 and you will probably have what the fuel cost was for the month of Feb!!!!!

I haven't been on the trails since Sunday. But just driving by, and from what I see around the house/yard here, it looks like the sun and warmer temps are really taking a toll on conditions. Especially south of town, with the plowed roads. There is some snow (1-2 inches) in the forecast. We really could use that.

just got home , ran the 100 miler yesterday and early this morning .
280 miles for the 2 days.:D
i would say 95% good trails , some brown spots , stay away from the plowed roads .
38 degrees in the shade at 1 pm south of mountain .
by sunday you may need water skis if it stays warm .

THANKS TO THE GROOMERS !!!!! GREAT JOB !!!!!:)

hey RED BARON , i heard the FAT LADY back in the woods luberacating her pipes today before i left for home .
