Winter Storm Watch
Thank You
Thank you to Forest County for keeping the trails open last weekend. Rode 70 miles sunday morning. The best trails were TP Sno-Club and Himley Lake Rd. I was surprised how good some of the trails were, but can see why they will be closed.
Trails will close at noon Wed., but I am sure no gates will be closed before Thurs. As a side note, this winter, the Forest Co Sheriff's Dept. had no snowmobile to use, and the local warden's machine was out of commission for a couple of months. Did anyone see any law enforcement snowmobiles on Forest Co. trails this winter??

I put on almost 2000 miles this year, and didn't see any (enforcement officer). Last year I saw two DNR officers at Int 29B (NST/LMT 8), but they were packing up for the day. I also saw one about five years ago, when I first started sledding, in Dunbar (Marinette county on a sled).
I would also like to note that this year was probably one of the most 'courteous' seasons of riding too. As far as meeting other sleds on the trails and 'close calls', etc. But I was really impressed at how 'well behaved' everyone was. Especially given the number of sleds this year.
I think I had only 2 close calls. One was the other guy's fault, and one time it was mine.
