100 Miler Brushing Bee

Post by Roger »

The brushing party is still on for this coming Saturday (12-6-08). We will meet at the Citgo gas station in Wabeno at 9:00a.m. If you have brushing equipment bring it, if you don't it's ok, we need people to move brush. We will try to bunch up and take as few vehicles as possible. Hope to see you on Sat. Roger PS: Drinks and a meal at Roberts lake Resort After brushing.

Did the Rose get a new name? I haven't been up in that area since May.

Wild Rose

Post by Johnnie »

The Rose is still the Rose. Anyone else who will be here Sat. for brushing who would like to work in the Roberts Lk. area, We will be trying to widen the trail between Ludington Lk and Roberts Lk. The areas which need work are the old popple clear cuts. The popple trees have grown to about 4" in diameter and need to be cut back a little, It is getting a little tight for the tractor and the 10' drags. Feel free to contact me @ Johnnies 715-674-2762 if you have any questions. I don't know what Dick and Jim have planned for brushing in the Armstrong Newald areas, but I am sure they would welcome any help.

Armstrong Creek Update

Post by Jim »

We've got a couple small crews that will head out on Saturday too. :hi:

We have a small crew heading out from the Corner Store parking lot at 8am, and heading south of Armstrong Creek, and a small crew that will go in at Nelligan Pond, and head south toward Armstrong Creek.

Dick is going to take care of the route change coming out of Armstrong Creek.

Have a safe brushing bee everyone!
And here's to another great year!
