Crandon

Post by Pat1 »

Last time I was in Crandon did I correctly see the trail now uses the railroad tracks from Hwy 8 south to the Hemlock Lake area. I know I saw signs up on part of the railroad grade but does that include all the way to Hwy 8? In other words, no more having to go thru Schaefer's parking lot.

Crandon

There should be a new map. Anyone who went thru Crandon last year knows it is much better getting thru town, unless you insist on touring down town. LMT grooms into Crandon from the south. The trail is on the rail grade from Hy8 s. past Lk Metonga, a big improvement. The Argonne club grooms into Crandon from the east and goes west to the county line, just past May's. Coming from the east going west, there is trail not street running all the way to 4 Seasons motel. I will try to get a map for Jim to post.
