100 mile trail markings
Re: 100 mile trail markings
Yeah, like when you nearly led Paul and me off into the pickers that day back in March!

Whoops! Yeah, that's one of the corners to the North. It could use some chevrons on both sides of that one!!
Let me know if you need or want help with the signing. I would love to help.
Will do. Like to do that with the groomer now that we're in season. But before season, I take my Polaris Ranger, and it makes for a great brushing/signing vehicle!
Re: 100 mile trail markings
Forgive my ignorance, but what is a chevron?
<--- This is a chevron
I've used a chevron for this post icon.
Re: 100 mile trail markings
They're used on the backside of the corners.
Re: 100 mile trail markings
Ah, those are my second favorite sign. My favorite are the orange trail markings.

Re: 100 mile trail markings
Those of you that help brush and sign trails know exactly how long it can take!. On December 13th we pounded over 100 posts (and could still use more) in Florence County along the new trail on Highway 101. Sunday I went to look at a possible "detour" off of Spur Lake Rd to avoid some logging, but it would take an army to brush the trail. It is used as an ATV play loop by Marinette County, and it doesn't look like they had a chance to brush it this year. Bottom line like Jim said, every area needs more volunteers in the fall of the year to help get the trails ready for the first snow.

Re: 100 mile trail markings
The intersection north of armstrong does have a sign giving directions but it migt not be pointed in the right direction any more. tagelders might also be partialy blocking the marker I ride past it every weekend just haven't paid that much attention to it. There used to be a trail map there also but it apears to have grown legs and walked off.
