Northern Forest County Snow Status

Post by DCBDA_Sledhead »

Does anyone know if there is enough snow to ride on in the Alvin area?

Are the fire roads still covered with snow?

We are planning a trip up there next Thursday.

Thanks.

Just checking did Forest county escape all of the warm weather and not have a melt down? Are all the trails ridable including the trails that follow the roads. I saw some pictures near Conover and Eagle River and it was not a good site. I would rather grass drag my sled then ride on rocks. I'm always ready to ride but I think this weekend I'm staying home to race slot cars.

I did have my daughter reposition the white crayon in the freezer to bring more snow:thinksnow::letitsnow::ineedsnow:

Looks like we got a slight overnight dusting of about a ½" of fluff. I'm going for a short ride, to check out the conditions. Keep working on the snow dances! We get enough of these 'dustings' they'll start to add up! Check back later for an update.

I did a little riding last night. The trails I was on were all snow covered but icy. They were actually a lot better than I was expecting. No rocks showing. Certainly not great but not as bad as they could be. Groomed trails are better than ungroomed trails. The groomer seems to have broken up some of the ice.

I am going on a 150 mile ride today. Some people in the bar said the northern loop (to the top of Forest County) was pretty good.

Keep Dancing :taz::taz::taz:GB TV is predicting 2" - 5" for later this week, sounds like things are still up in the air as to how much or if it will stay more south or north....
