Hundred Miles Away

Post by Jim »

I put together this little video last night, but didn't have time to post it, until just now. The footage is from Jan/Feb of this year.

Hundred Miles Away (High Definition) 30MB File

Enjoy! :coolcat:

P.S. It's still snowing strong!!!
Great job as always ,Jim.
What is your camera set up? Bars or helmet?
I use few different type of cameras.
I have 3 of the Scientific Oregon AT18 Bullet Cams.
They're small with various mounting options.
I also have the cold weather sleeves.
They're great for attaching to the handlebars and such.
These were used to make last year's videos (which I will bring back online soon).

I also have a Sony Cybershot with a weatherproof case.
It's great for taking trail pics, because you dont have to worry about dropping it in the snow.
It also has video capabilities, and it was the camera used for the 'Hundred Miles Away' video.

I also have a Canon Digital Rebel XT with an Ultra-Compact Telephoto Zoom lens.
I don't use this camera for trail pics, but will use it for just about everything else. It takes great pics!

And I have a high definition Sony HandyCam with Dolby 5.1 Surround sound, which I've actually used a couple of times while grooming.
The vids from that that are yet to posted.

I think that I will stay home this weekend after having several good weeks of riding thanks to all the groomers. Club Trip to Mole Lake last weekend was very good. Hope we get some cold weather and snow for next week.

Jim maybe you could make another video and add a rider sliding out of control around the corner heading towards you and then they could signal how many are behind while they are on your side of the trail:lol::lol: One more request could you speed it up so the trees are blurred:sledder:

I'd be too busy messing with the camera controls to see the corner coming...
Especially if there were no chevrons in the corner's apex! :slywink:
