Went out to try and groom this morning and did more harm than good  .
The snow was so wet I had the nose of the drag 3 ft. in the air and the snow just piled up in the pan and pushed the snow off the trail

.
I talked to other clubs groomer operators via cell phone and they were having the same problem  .
We are going to have to let the sleds pack the trails. :sledder: :winterrules:
We had some problems with it being too light and fluffy up here. We had the nose up and the back tires barely touching, so we could get a good flow through there. Otherwise, we were doing the same, and pushing all the snow off the trail. We also made a beeline to where the new drag was parked. It's bigger and has an adjustable pan to help control the flow. We got that hooked up, before Dick headed south yesterday. We'll also be getting out later today for more grooming. And it's still snowing!

Jim, Grooming down here was a Bear yesterday....I went out last night after the sleds ran down the trails :sledder: and it was better. But Ohhhhh

the drifts down here,4-5 ft and you have to go over them 2-4 times just to get through and they are still rollers.
Temps are in the 30's now and the snow is really wet.
We are gonna try it again tonight when the temps drop.
You keep smooth'n them 100 miler trails so when I get up there we can ride the best......

Jim I hope your smiling one of them big ones! See you around this weekend, Im looking to get my skid back in and do some riding around Armstrong and Laona. Keep me posted on what the trail looks like from the town dump on towards Gordon lake etc. She was one of the rougher areas that I ran into, hopefully the snow filled in the wooded areas better.
