Last night Ernie fell through a swamp with the tractor. With the help of Ronnie Brooks from Cavour we just got him out, and he is grooming in the Cavour area before heading south on the new section of the Nicolet Trail to Laona. All bridges are now safe for the tractor. The swamp just south of Cavour, where there is sometimes water in the spring, is where we had trouble. I marked the area with caution signs. Speaking of signs, I just received the informational signs for the new trail segment, and will be putting them up this afternoon. Enjoy some early season riding. But, I would not plan any long trips, yet.
