Up in northern Forest county.
Anyone?
Need a grooming report
went from newald to long lake over to fence down and around back to newald and trails were awesome friday night. Saturday went north from newald to phelps, eagle river, three lake, hiles and back to newald and they were the worst i've seen in years especially from three lakes back to newald. Groomers dont have much to work with but the trails that did have plenty of snow were horrible as well.
The trails between Roberts Lake and Laona were in good condition on Sunday morning. The groomer has gone out on Saturday night (I passed it) and fixed things up.
Closer to lunchtime on Sunday (when I had to leave for home) the trails were getting pretty soft again as the temperature was in the 30's.
We all need to start putting white crayons in the freezer!!!

Saturday morning: left Lakewood area, trails flat and icy - rode towards Langlade, snow was better and trails flat but became bumpy near Elton until we got to Cocker Hills south of Lily- Trails to Lily were also good, Trails around Pickerel were good and bad with a lot of ice in the corners, then we headed to Mole Lake area and snow was ok but trails bumpy until we got back down to Oconto county by Valley Inn.
It seems lately that the trails in forest county are a lot more bumpy than the surround counties first thing in the morning on Saturdays but then on Sunday the Safari trails are flat and LMT trails are hit or miss. I now that everyone is doing the best they can grooming old used up snow, but some of the clubs may be grooming at better times to get the trail to set up
