90 on the 100

Post by Jim »

I just got back from putting 90 miles on the 100 Miler. We definitely need more snow. I'd rate the trails overall FAIR with some GOOD spots.... and some WORSE. But it was GOOD to get out. Currently we have FREEZING DRIZZLE which will add some much need moisture to the base. And if we can get some of this much needed snow in the short term forecast, that would even be better! Check back later for updates, and....

Hey Jim, glad to hear you got a few miles on. I was up on Friday and Saturday, yes we need more snow. Thought it might be snowing up there now, raining in Sheboygan Falls but really close to freezing. If we would only get 4 or 5 inches it would change things significantly. I rode the 100 Friday and agree with your report, fair at best, a few good sections. I ran into a section that was really bad, rocks, gravel, and you name it. I almost turned around but managed to stay clear of the big ones. Sad thats it late January and were still talking early season conditions. Next week, think snow.

The area forecasts are now calling for less snow than they showed a few hours ago. Inch or two at best, it looks like. Not good.
