We had a low of 32° this morning, but it warmed up to a balmy 72° this afternoon. I went fishing today...and just a little before 2:00 pm I caught another beauty.
I was fishing a 1/2 ounce Buckeye Mop Jig (Okeechobee craw) with a green pumpkin Netbait Paca chunk trailer. I never felt it hit the line, she must have flared her gills and just sucked it in. I saw the line bounce and move, and I set hook and the battle was on. Thankfully I had a camera man with me this time....she was 26" and 7 1/4 pounds.
Look at the mouth on that beast...and the fish too!
