[INDENT]I had a great time last night riden the trails, most of which the groomer was out around 8 last night in wabeno. Put on over 150 miles. Was headed up to armstrong from laona around 11pm last night but didnt make it. Even though I was in a wide open feild fallowing along side a road, (was still on the trail) leading when all of a sudden the trail turned a quick left. I didnt know this even though i rode the trail many of times before things are different at night. I was not speeding an 4 witnesses behind me can vouch that my ridiculous speed was at a top end of 40mph. It was a unmarked corner in a open feild. I locked my brakes up for fear of going off the trail into the fence line. The track cought an the sled instantly rolled over. Which has now cost me $90.00 to replace a windsheild cause i have to order it. not sure if that part of the trail system is the 100 miler but i know its basically the only trail to get to mudsliggers from laona with out comeing up south of Armstrong. Its a long ride to go that way, an haveing to drive 30 25 I dont think would be worth the trouble, COLD, an time to have to turn around to come back because of a broken sled. I dont know who to contact, was kinda hopeing maybe a word would get passed along to let them know of a heads up on the signs cause there was more then that corner that was unmarked or not marked properly. Just because its wide open an no trees around dosnt mean everyone knows where or when a trail turns at night.

There are only two trails that lead to Mudslingers that I know of, and they both come off the NST, and they both belong to the 100 Mile Snow Safari (Laona). Were you North or South of Mudslingers?

Went well grooming last night, seen a winshield by the stop sign at cemetary road north of mudslingers. If this is where this incident took place, the snow patrol was 5 minutes ahead of me and had no problem making it to their destination. Signing wasn't an issue or the patrol would have informed me about it.
Apparently Bombardier has not rode in the Pickerel area. The signs over that way are terrible. The Pickerel Triangle:lol:. I have rode the area in question many times both day and night and haven't had any trouble. Rode 400 miles last Mon. and Tues. Best trails I have seen in years. Hats off to the 100 miler

I had problems coming back from Florence on the Blue Ox trails once on a ATV/Snowmobile trail split. It was late at night, I was low on gas, and the machine wasn't running the greatest. I missed the first split, and followed the ATV trail by mistake to where the snowmobile trail merged back into the ATV trail. Thinking this was where the trail split, I followed the snowmobile trail back to the original split... and was really confused when I was back where I started! :shrug:
