I have Cellular One (soon to be AT&T) too, and don't seem to have too bad of service. I believe the 100 Miler uses AllTel. We are still using "bag" phones in the groomer, and they seem to provide better coverage than regular cell phones. Although I did pick up an external antenna for my BlackBerry a couple of years ago, and that really helped.

Chris-
I use US Cellular and have not had a problem at all near the lake(big pickerel). I take my phone when i am out snowmobiling and hunting. Only once have i noticed that i lost signal. If your out by the lake and look towards carter you'll see a new cell tower, since that went up the reception in our area increased dramatically. My parents have all tel and use to have a lot of problems making a call but since the new tower there have been no issues. But I have noticed that us cellular does get better reception when you get further north compared to all tel. hope that helps.

Chris,
Us Cellular and Verizon work well in the area. I have both, and can't recall any issues, my Verizon has internet and I use it for a modem for my PC as well. Works great!
