LMT 7 Info

Post by Tom »

The Forest County report on Travel Wisconsin states that part of the LMT 7 is closed. Can anyone tell me the location of the closed section?

The LMT took a back hoe into that section and cleaned things up. Needs more snow to be rated good. I think they took out the trail closed signs. Lots of riders out last night. Our groomers were out yesterday and early this a.m. Trails need snow getting very beat up!

the last i saw is that the section of LMT 7 had changed land ownership between buschafer road and clarks lane and the owner has put up signs of no vehicles..

With this weekends temps well below zero, is it now safe to groom the gas line section of LMT 7 from Starks Road to Hy 8?....maybe even up behind the Double Buck?

All the rest of the trails we were on were great!

The logging op on LMT 7 seems to be letting these small snowfalls pack onto the trails which is making it a little more sled friendly.

The swamp will not be groomed this year, still not froze enough for our New Holland. The good news is we are about 90% sure we have a reroute approved for next year. Just a couple of formal approvals to secure, verbal approval has already been discussed. I would be very surprised if it doesn't happen. The county is on board, the ATV club is on board, Laona school forest should be on board, only one private land owner to secure and they have approved the ATV use so we think they will approve. So we think next year LMT 7 will be a much better trail. The road work for the logging will be completed and should not be a problem next year.

Yikes!....how much of a reroute are we talking about?....I hope it is just that short section in the swamp and will still be the same as it joins Starks road south of there???

It will follow Starks Setlement Road then use the ATV trail to the NST comes out just before T'Bob's should end up being a much better ride.
