I believe it was Johnnie on Friday who said "the trails are smokin"! That stuck in my head all weekend, cause they were!

smooth trails

Post by Red Baron »

I agree, almost 275 miles clicked off this weekend, most on the 100 miler, and all were great. Hard, smooth and fast. Pickerel's were great too. I hear there's more snow to the West and North, so it should finally be good riding everywhere. It's snowing here in SE WI now, although not the best packing snow, maybe the whole state will have open trails for a while. Too bad gas is over $3.

Conditions sound great. temps in the 20's and possibly a little more snow between now and then.

Yeah the trails were hard and fast I clicked just a tad over 225 last weekend! I'd say pounded out, but there wasn't any pounding involved from Townsend North!! :) Just smooth and smokin!

Trails were awesome! Trails that had lots of snow coverage before being groomed were great as well. Could not believe the little amount of traffic we ran into though. Must have been a combination of Eagle River Races and high gas prices because we ran into very few sleds on Saturday afternoon. Usually a busy time upnorth.

Also got to check out Johnnies new house on the hill. That is one awesome view of the lake. Let me know if you have anymore fireplace problems.
