Lost Items Saturday Night

Post by Jim »

I lost a pair of Black Spy Optic Sunglasses on Saturday, while grooming to the North of Armstrong Creek. :(
They could be anywhere near Armstrong Creek, Newald, Cavour, or Popple River.
They looked like this:

They weren't my best pair, but matched the ones I bought Dick, and worked great in the groomer.
And then to make matters worse, I lost one of my black lambskin leather gloves with the cashmere lining!
It looked like this:

I rode north early the next morning at 7:30, but it was so cold, I had to turn around behind Lake Laura & Lake Gordon.
I think I knew where I might of dropped my glove. I think I probably dropped it when I got out of the groomer to retreive my wool hat!
Which would of been between those lakes and Co. Hwy. 139. And I think it was west of Nelligan Pond (FR 2159). Bummer!

I guess the good news is, that I still have the hat!

With no traffic overnight, and the low temps, the trails setup very nice. The trails were hard packed and fast, with a couple of icy corners.
Ride safe, stay warm, and keep an eye out for my stuff!! :slywink:
:sledder:
I have a lot of pictures and some video to post yet, but I wanted to wait until I tried to install the photo gallery module again. I thought I was going to get that done last night... but that didn't happen. I had some other computer problems to keep me up all night!

Check back later for updates!

It was at night, near the Popple River Pub on the grade. I got up at daybreak the next morning to look for it. I didnt know for sure where I 'misplaced' it. But figured the spot up by Larry's was the most likely. And sure enough, there it was. Just on the edge of the trail, out of harm's way from getting run over, since most people don't ride right on the edge. And the leather case, protected it from getting wet. I got lucky on that one!

With loosing all the items that have been lost or misplaced, I can see why women carry purses.

Any ideas???:D

Or maybe a converted "Doggy Bag"

Or Velcro everything to your jacket!!!

(Just trying to help.......)

And besides.....its pick-on Jimmy week!!!!!:slywink:

Good News! Dick called earlier. Found my Spy Optic Sunglasses by Feldman's Beer Can Flats! It figures. That was another place where I got out to snap some pics.

Good to here!!!
I seldom find things I lost on the trail:mad:The other night I lost the fuel cap for the groomer, couldn't find it and I only moved 100ft.
I need some glasses.
Cannot wait to get up to ride this weekend, I have 150hrs. grooming and only 100miles on the sled:eek:
