past years trail openings

Post by fusion_117 »

We have been sledin for as long as i can remember up here and it seems like every year the trails open either on or around the first if the year always i dont remeber the trails opening in december hardly but i think even when it did it turned to crap right away . Man it is getting boreing around here the lakes are even rough. think snow and maybe we could get some and start sledding all it takes is one good snow storm and we are in business up here in forest county we got the best trails because we have patience and thats why onieda countys trails will be ruined by the time we open are's . think snow snow snow.

I remember a few yrs back when it snowed during deerseaon and the trails opened up way before x-mas. We use to have snow up to the lower roof on our garage when it was plowed. We use to go out to move the sled after a night and I we had to shovel around it just to find the bottom of the hood.

Ahhh the good ole days! Sure doesn't snow like it use to.

I can remember Dick and I grooming last year on New Year's Eve. I sure hope this weather turns around for us soon.

One degree

Yeah, the good ole days. El Nino or Global Warming? I really think our snowmobiling days are numbered. I hope the predictions are wrong but it looks like January will be as mild at December. Just One degree in the Pacific Ocean temps makes a huge difference. Who knows?
