Brushing Day 2009, December 5th
Brushing Day 2009, December 5th
We had a super turnout for our brushing day and want to thank all those who participated. Our trails are pretty much ready to go and are just waiting for the snow to come. We all got together later at T-Bob's in Laona for some great refreshments and food. Thank you again for all of your help. Here are some pictures from the day.

Roger:
The county gate south of Pestigo River Rd is still locked. Could you check on that for me? I know muzzle-loading was open this week, and wasn't sure if the last day was yesterday or today. So, maybe they were just planning on opening it Monday.
--Thanks.
Otherwise...
As is, Armstrong Creek will be implementing most of our brushing maneuvers next weekend.
Today we're working on putting in the first post of a gate for a property owner south of town, in an attempt to resolve an ongoing feud between two local business owners. What a political quagmire that's turned out to be!
Check back later for further updates.

I had a great time brushing! The camaraderie and food afterward was great. As always it was great to see old friends and meet new ones.
I love the new hats. My ears will be warm all winter long.
To the group that worked Roberts Lake...apparently the sound of chainsaws really does attract the deer. We saw five of them less than a mile from the Wild Rose. They must have been looking for all those fresh treetops. I know there were a lot of them.
